In Kansas City, Missouri, a young and promising woman named Leila Welsh was tragically taken from this world on a fateful night in March 1941. As she returned home from a fun date and ended the evening for drinks at a classy hotel venue, her life was brutally cut short between the hours of 1:00-5:00 a.m. Leila was only 24. She was a beloved teacher with a heart of gold and was well-liked. She touched the lives of many with her kindness. Little did she know that her final evening would be shrouded in darkness and mystery.

Thirteen years went into researching and writing this book. I’m very excited about this book because it helps to memorialize the victim. There are so many cold cases in the U.S., many of which are still unsolved.

This is a fact-filled book in which the reader gets to sit in a jury box and decide whether her brother was really innocent or guilty. This is a true story.
