Submarine Expedition

Admiral William “Bill” Martin (Retired), wealthy industrialist and marine explorer, built an artificial neural network into his submarine’s active camouflage system…It worked out well for him to begin with. He made a fortune prospecting and secretly played war games with the Navy. His submarine could hunt and “kill” anything the Navy could throw at them. Submarine Expedition surpassed his highest expectations!

This story begins with a three-month expedition to the mid-ocean ridge beneath the Arctic ice cap. After discovering a mineral treasure trove of precious metals and rare earth elements (and escaping from a deep-sea dragon by the skin of its teeth) a call comes in from the Navy. “Bill, we need your help. Cetaceans are beaching themselves in large numbers on New Jersey’s shores, and one of our submarines is missing.”

At first, it sounded like a routine assignment and that is how he confronted it.

That is, until an invisible robot swarm with clandestine intentions invaded his boat and turned his own technology against him.

Never mind the whales and the Navy’s missing submarine, will Expedition defeat his tiny intruders in time to save New York Harbor from an invasion force of unknown origins?
